Online Resources and Interlibrary Loan

Wondering what you can get from the library online? Learn about our online resources and interlibrary loan!
Electronic resources (e-resources) are materials, such as e-books, e-journals, online databases, etc., that are in digital format and accessible via the library's webpages. See the following webpages for more information on college level researchaudiobookse-books, and streaming video

The great thing about library e-resources is that they can be accessed from your home! When you access the library's resources from isu.edu/library, you will be prompted to enter your Bengal ID number and last name if you are off campus.

Interlibrary Loan

Ever see a link on your library search results that says "Request this article via interlibrary loan," and thought, "what the heck does that mean?"

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that provides access to materials not owned by the ISU Libraries. Once you submit an ILL request for an article, our librarians will work to get you a PDF copy of the article you need via our ILL system. If you submit an ILL request for a book, the book will be borrowed from another library and mailed to your closest ISU library location for pickup. This service is free to all ISU students, faculty and staff.

To get started, visit the ILL library guide for more information or create/login to your Interlibrary Loan account. Or click the "Request this article via interlibrary loan" link from your library search results, and enter your Bengal ID and last name to authenticate. If it's your first time using the service, you'll be asked to fill out a brief profile.
